SAWCLicious: Gordon Ramsay's Baked Pork Chops

I happen to see the recipe of Gordon Ramsay's Baked Pork Chop and thought that's something easy to follow and also looks delicious. Changed a few ingredients and I was a satisfied chef in the end! It is very easy to follow and easy to cook (the most important thing!)

Gordon Ramsay's Baked Pork Chop with Spicy Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

  • 4 pcs Pork Chops
  • Fresh thyme sprigs and rosemary leaves
  • 8 Garlic Cloves, crushed and unpeeled
  • 1 whole Onion, minced
  • a handful of diced red bell pepper
  • 1 red finger chili sliced
  • 1 cup of sliced bottom mushrooms
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 1-2 tsp. sugar
  • salt and pepper
  • Olive Oil
Procedure

  1. Heat over to 185 Celsius. In an oven-proof dish, add some coarse salt and pepper at the bottom of the oven-proof dish. Place the pork chops and scatter thyme sprigs, rosemary leaves, garlic cloves, coarse salt, pepper, and olive oil. I placed 2 garlic cloves per chop. Bake for 20-30 minutes until pork is cooked through.
  2. While waiting for the chops, in a sauce pan, heat olive oil and saute onion, red bell pepper, red chili, and mushrooms for 3-4 minutes. Pour the diced tomatoes and season with salt, pepper, and 1-2 tsp. of sugar. Simmer until tomato sauce has thickened.
  3. Once pork chops are cooked, take it out of the oven and let it rest at room temperature for 5 minutes. I placed some rice and laid the chop on top of it and pouring the sauce over the chops topped with some parsley.
