Konichiwa Dusseldorf! Takumi Japanese Kitchen

Konichiwa! Hungry-Trotting Wifey invited me to take an adventure with them to Dusseldorf. The main goal: Japanese Food! okay and... Christmas Market. See, Hungry-Trotting Hubby loves ramen and wifey found the best place for ramen - TAKUMI!

So, off we went last December 17 for an overnight trip to Dusseldorf. I stayed in Dusseldorf for 2 weeks for a business trip before and noted down this city as one with good food and good shopping area.... but Japanese food?!?

I have to tell you though, it was with no disappointment. Located in Immermannstr, it's a small place full of Japanese crowd. The ambiance is good and the food is even better! At 4pm, there are already people lining up the cue to be able to get some ramen. I wonder how it is at dinner time.

I ordered the Speziel Miso Ramen (which I believe translates to Special Miso Ramen).  The miso soup's consistency is just right and not too salty. The pork is cooked well and the noodles have its Q consistency. Also, the meat doesn't have a bad pork taste. I have some experiences on good ramen but the soup has a heavy pork taste which I find dislike. Excellent overall satisfaction!
We also ordered gyoza (dumplings) and kara-age (fried chicken) to share. Gyoza tastes really good and the meat inside has the right amount of veggies and the right amount of meat filling as well. It doesn't stick together so when you take one gyoza the other gyoza's skin does not fall off.
The Kara-Age is also good. Perfectly cooked boneless chicken thigh served with Japanese mayonaise and some salt on the side. The chicken is already tasty so you can opt not to use salt. It is perfect with the mayonnaise combination.
The only thing I would suggest this restaurant is to serve green tea in a pot. They serve green tea per cup and you have to pay for each cup that you order. Overall, definitely worth it to drive 2 hrs to Dusseldorf to be able to taste good Japanese food.

Speziel Miso Ramen EUR 11.80 PHP ~720
Gyoza EUR 4.50 PHP~270
Kara-Age 8pcs EUR 8.80 PHP 528
